Bio

Jayna Conkey is the Director of the Graphic Design Program and Professor of Photography and Graphic Design at Western Nevada College. She is the recipient of numerous faculty and teaching awards including the Nevada Board of Regents Excellence in Teaching Award. After building the Graphic Design Degree Program that she currently directs, she has completed three successful program reviews that were recognized for distinction by the governing body the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Jayna earned her MFA in Photography and Electronic Media from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1996 and her B.A in Fine Arts from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1987. Before returning to Nevada, she was a Professor of Photography at the Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, Oregon from 1997-2000. She exhibits nationally and internationally.
